Celebrate the Future of Storytelling at our 2026 Scholarship Dinner Reception

Join us at 5 p.m., Thursday, May 28, at the famed Hilo Yacht Club as we celebrate the 2026 Big Island Press Club Scholarship Foundation winners!

We are honored to announce that our keynote speaker for the evening will be Daniel Ikaika Ito. A seasoned surf journalist and communications professional, Daniel brings a wealth of experience in local media and marketing, offering a unique perspective on the evolving landscape of storytelling in Hawaiʻi.

While noshing on a heavy assortment of pupus and dessert, we will get acquainted with award-winning students representing several different schools that are seeking media-related professions and have demonstrated a passion for storytelling.
