Information
Come join us at the Seaside Restaurant and Aqua Farm in Keaukaha across from Carlsmith Park on the evening of Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 6:00 pm as we celebrate the 2023 Big Island Press Club Scholarship Foundation Winners! This special event will feature Brian Wild, a deputy public defender for the State of Hawaii.
Brian Wild, a BIPC scholarship winner and one-time student member on the board of directors, is now an attorney and has returned to the Big Island to serve in the Hilo branch of the state’s Office of the Public Defender. Brian served as editor-in-chief of Ke Kalahea, UH Hilo’s student-run news publication; he subsequently served as chairman of UH Manoa’s Student Media Board while in law school.
In addition to hearing from Brian Wild and networking with the Big Island's press community, you'll enjoy a delicious meal and an equally delicious view at the Seaside Restaurant!
